Low-Producing Programs Archived Data

From May 2010 to December 2010, Coordinating Board staff processed requests from institutions to reflect corrections and updates to their program inventories. This data review period resulted in 110 programs being consolidated and 152 programs being phased out.
In February 2011, Coordinating Board staff identified programs for review of graduation productivity for academic years 2006 through 2010. Of the 3,916 programs reviewed, Coordinating Board staff identified 549 programs that did not meet the graduation thresholds.

Results of FY2006-FY2010 Low-Producing Program Review

In the first annual review of low-producing programs, 62 programs were identified for closure by the Coordinating Board with an additional 145 programs being phase-out by the institution for a total of 207 programs or 5.3% of all programs reviewed.

FY2007-2011 Low Producing Program Review

In February 2012, Coordinating Board staff identified programs for review of graduation productivity for academic years 2007 through 2011. Of the 3,720 programs reviewed, Coordinating Board staff identified 257 programs that did not meet the graduation thresholds. Of those, 177 programs received a temporary exemption the previous year and were not evaluated. The remaining 80 programs were evaluated in the staff review.
