Cost Effectiveness of a Common Application for Nursing

HB 2099, 83rd Texas Legislature (Texas Education Code, §51.762 (a) and (b)) directs the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) to determine the cost-effectiveness of adopting an electronic common admission application form for undergraduate nursing education.   If the form is determined to be cost effective, THECB will develop a common application form on ApplyTexas (http://www.applytexas.org/) to apply for admission to undergraduate nursing degree programs.

As part of the process of determining whether a common application form is cost effective,  THECB seeks the participation of Texas institutions of higher education that offer undergraduate nursing education through this Request for Applications (RFA).  Awarded Applicant will be reimbursed for up to $5,000.00 in travel expenses for its representative to attend meetings on the Project.
