STUDY INFORMATION SHEET STATEMENT:
EMPLOYER TUNING SURVEY
The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, with grant support from Lumina Foundation for Education, is conducting a study of employers who hire university science graduates of Texas higher education institutions. In order to better serve you and your organizational needs, we would like you to take this short survey. The answers will be very valuable in improving curriculum planning and course relevance for future students. If other people in your organization are more directly involved with the professional work performed there, please invite them to take this survey.
University science faculty, alumni, and students throughout the state are also being invited to participate in the study.
You can access the survey by following this link:
You are invited to participate in a study that asks for your opinion on a number of general competencies relevant to your professional science or teaching employees. The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.
Only through such broad consultation with different stakeholders will the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board—the state coordinator of this study—be able to arrive at a decision about what learning outcomes are important for university graduates.
You will never be personally identified at any point in the process of this study.
If you have questions at any time about the study or the procedures, you may contact: Debbie Rodriguez, Program Specialist, 1200 E. Anderson Lane, Austin, Texas 78752: via telephone at 512.427.6547, or via email at Debbie.Rodriguez@thecb.state.tx.us.
