Innovation and Policy Development

Senior Director's Welcome

Welcome to the Innovation and Policy Development (IPD) web site of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. IPD staff are committed to the advancement and innovation of higher education in Texas and beyond. We work together to harness research and data to explore and propose visionary policy and novel ways of addressing key, long-term higher education issues, including financial aid and student debt, online education, alternative pathways to credentials, college completion, marketable skills, and best practices for incorporating learning technologies into higher education. Our efforts are conducted in close collaboration with other Coordinating Board divisions, institutions of higher education, public schools, community and business partners, and other stakeholders.

This web site both highlights our work and serves as a resource for institutions of higher education developing and implementing policy and innovation on their campuses. We hope you find it both useful and informative.
