STUDY INFORMATION SHEET STATEMENT: UNIVERSITY OF NORTH TEXAS MIS EMPLOYER TUNING SURVEYThe Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, with grant support from Lumina Foundation for Education, is conducting a study of employers who hire Management Information Systems (MIS) graduates of Texas higher education institutions such as the University of North Texas. In order to better serve you and your organizational needs, we would like you to take this short survey. The answers will be very valuable in improving curriculum planning and course relevance for future students. If other people in your organization are more directly involved with the Management Information Systems work performed there, please invite them to take this survey, too.
We would appreciate receiving your response to this survey no later than January 31. You may begin the survey from this link when you are ready:
Management Information Systems faculty, alumni, and students throughout the state are also being invited to participate in the study.
You are invited to participate in a study that asks for your opinion on a number of general competencies relevant to your MIS employees. The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.
Only through such broad consultation with different stakeholders will the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board—the state coordinator of this study—be able to arrive at a decision about what learning outcomes are important for MIS.
You will never be personally identified at any point in the process of this study.
If you have questions at any time about the study or the procedures, you may visit http://www.thecb.state.tx.us/Tuning_Texas or contact Debbie Rodriguez, Program Consultant, c/o THECB, 1200 E. Anderson Lane, Austin, Texas 78752, or via email at Debbie.Rodriguez@thecb.state.tx.us.
