Welcome to the P-16 Initiatives Division of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Our mission is to help create a college-going culture, promote college and career readiness for all Texans, and identify and implement best practices to facilitate the success transition of students between high school and higher education that results in improved persistence and certificate or degree completion.

These efforts are conducted in close collaboration with institutions of higher education, public schools and education service centers, and other community and business partners. The division also provides policy analysis and information on relevant issues for policymakers and other stakeholders.
