Marketable Skills Goal
By 2030, all graduates from Texas public institutions of higher education will have completed programs with identified marketable skills.
The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board is hosting the second Marketable Skills Conference to help institutions achieve the third goal of the 60x30TX strategic plan for Texas higher education. This meeting will provide training sessions on April 10 to help public higher education institutions implement and achieve the marketable skills goal. The conference will include four trainings designed for leaders to share with colleagues on their campuses. The conference will also include a panel of recent graduates on the evening of April 9. This panel discussion will be open to the public; students are encouraged to attend.
The conference registration fee for teams of four is $500. A breakfast buffet and a plated lunch are included in the registration fee. Sleeping room reservations at the Hilton University of Houston are available on a first-come, first-served basis and must be made through the hotel by March 12 for a special rate. The hotel will accept reservations after this date on a space-available basis at standard rates.
The POC for this conference is Dr. Ginger Gossman. Dr. Gossman can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or 512-427-6452.
