Charge: The Undergraduate Education Advisory Committee serves as a forum for problem solving and the generation of good ideas to improve undergraduate education that reflect the goals of Texas’ higher education plan, Closing the Gaps by 2015. The Undergraduate Education Advisory Committee will provide recommendations to the Board regarding directions the Board and institutions should take to enhance undergraduate education in Texas, initially including but not limited to such projects as: (1) conducting a study on the current state of undergraduate education in Texas, and preparing a report for the Board that includes recommendations for actions to maintain or strengthen Texas’ undergraduate programs; (2) making recommendations regarding a procedure for the regular evaluation of undergraduate instructional programs; and (3) working in partnership with other advisory committees on issues of particular interest and relevance to undergraduate education.

Membership: UEAC Members
Membership currently includes representatives from public community and technical colleges, universities, and health related institutions, independent colleges and universities, and one non-voting student member. Voting members serve three-year terms with the possibility of reappointment.
