The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board utilizes the GovDelivery Communications Cloud to manage the agency’s digital communications. The GovDelivery implementation is in response to the Coordinating Board’s 2012-2013 Sunset Review that suggested the agency implement a “centralized, consistent approach to email communication with stakeholders” to keep them informed of “new initiatives, upcoming events, and other agency-related news.”
The Coordinating Board website will include e-UPDATES icons (example below).
Stakeholders have the opportunity to subscribe to topic specific updates such as the latest news stories, legislative updates, meeting notices, and rule changes.
To sign up, update your preferences or to unsubscribe, please click on the manage subscriptions link above or contact External Relations at firstname.lastname@example.org or (512) 427-6111.
College Town Hall-Texas
In addition to implementing GovDelivery to improve the agency’s communications efforts, the Coordinating Board also utilizes online tools such as College Town Hall-Texas, an interactive, agency-hosted website (www.collegetownhalltx.com) that provides an opportunity for stakeholders to share ideas, respond to new initiatives and join the dialogue on the future of higher education in the state. College Town Hall-Texas is currently being used to solicit public input as the Texas Higher Education Strategic Planning Committee deliberates Texas’ next long-term higher education plan that will inspire and advance student success while positioning Texas as a leader in an increasingly complex world economy.
