10:00 a.m.    Welcoming Remarks (Twilight Ballroom)                  
                     David D. Teuscher, M.D., Secretary of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board
                     (THECB), will provide vision for Texas higher education.
 

10:15 a.m.    60x30TX Overview; Questions and Answers (Twilight Ballroom)     
                     David W. Gardner, Ph.D., Deputy Commissioner for Academic Planning and  
                     Policy/Chief Academic Officer, Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board,
will
                     provide an overview of the new Texas higher education strategic plan, 60x30TX, and 
                     address questions from workshop participants.
 

10:45 a.m.    Panel Discussion (Twilight Ballroom) 
                  
  Steven Bullard, Ph.D., Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Stephen F. 
                     Austin State University; Marty Crawford, Ed.D., Superintendent of Tyler Independent  
                  
  School District; Trey Henderson, Owner, Henderson Mineral, Inc.; and Ed Pool, Vice
                     President/Associate Broker, Charles Pool Real Estate, Inc., 
will respond to the goals of
                     the new higher education plan and will discuss how school/college/business/community
                     collaboration and related efforts are critical for achieving the goals of 60x30TX in
                     the Southeast and Upper East Higher Education Regions.
 

11:15 a.m.    Breakout Sessions: Concurrent Discussions on Goals One and Two 
                     
(Breakout Rooms) 
                     Workshop participants will discuss strategies to achieve the Educational Attainment
                     and Completion goals of 60x30TX.
            

12:30 p.m.    Lunch and Keynote Speaker (Grand Ballroom)  
                      
The Honorable Travis Clardy, Texas House of Representatives, District 11, will speak
                     about the educational needs of the Southeast and Upper East Higher Education
                     Regions.
   

  1:45 p.m.    Breakout Sessions: Concurrent Discussions on 60x30TX Goals Three and
                      Four 
(Breakout Rooms) 
                    Workshop participants will discuss strategies to achieve the Marketable Skills and
                    Student Debt goals of 60x30TX.
   

  3:00 p.m.    Summary of Breakout Sessions  (Twilight Ballroom)
                     Workshop participants will identify key strategies and next steps for achieving the
                     goals of 60x30TX.
 

  3:30 p.m.    Adjournment
