Note:

1.1.1 - The novelty of this work is the intentionally designed partnership between the college of education and college of engineering and the inclusion of fathers/male role models in the out of school educational experience. The promise of this work lies in the possibility of learning how to transform a learning environment through the engagement of fathers/male role models. In addition, the early (K-12) experiences of underrepresented male students in STEM are sparse in research literature. This work will add to understanding these students and how to attract and retain them in the pipeline toward engineering careers, while also contributing to the Integrated STEM Education literature.
