This program's primary objective diversify the racial/ethnic demographic composition of the economics profession, including the professorate, through (1) increase the number of under-represented racial/ethnic minorities who complete doctorate degrees in economics; and (2) diversify the racial/ethnic demographic composition of the economics profession, including the professorate, through mentoring and providing research and professional development opportunities to minority emerging economists.
