The acquisition of a 3C PIV-LIP system can therefore yield important experimental data that will enable fundamental understanding of the vortex dynamics and turbulence flow field in fluid flows commonly encountered in hydrodynamics and aerodynamics. An in-depth understanding of the physics involved in highly turbulent flows will enable the advancement of fundamental sciences and transformative technologies and provide deeper insight into the engineering implications in devices that encounter such flows
