Note:

Qualifies under SAM 1.1.1. and 1.3.1 and 1.3.2. Faculty and Curriculum Development a. University will develop curriculum for training topics that are in accordance with Title IV-E allowable topics and the Department's Title IV-B State Plan. This curriculum will be developed jointly by Contractor and CPS based on CPS defined needs and University capabilities. b. University, in coordination with DFPS staff, will update curriculum in the form of an Annual Employee Training Program to reflect current best practices in foster care and adoption trends (i.e., cultural competencies and cultural sensitivity/diversity). The project will form a Steering Committee co-chaired by a Contractor appointee and a CPS appointee with CPS and University membership. This Steering Committee will be charged with identifying training needs. Each year, an annual training program schedule will be developed and disseminated among CPS employees. Participants attending trainings will be selected by CPS. University will select trainers and design workshops. Workshops will be evaluated individually and the evaluations will be included in Annual Reports. c. University will identify the sources utilized to gather "best practices" in foster care and adoption trends for the achievement of output b, above. The 2 Attachment A Name of University : The University of Texas at El Paso University Title IV-E Leadership (Project Director, Project Manager and Practicum Coordinator) will gather best practices on foster care and adoption by working with other Texas IV-E projects and attending relevant conferences and meetings to determine trends and evidence- based practices on an annual basis, to be included in the Annual Training Program as approved by the Steering Committee. (overall objectives include: hands on field training, placements in clinics and other participating organizations, publication, project dissemination, evaluation, workshops, and outcome surveys).
