Note:

The goal of our project on plane-wave electron transport is to transform the way quantum transport is performed by moving from a localized basis set to a plane-wave basis set. We will develop a code capable of studying quantum transport in nanoscale devices such as nanowires and nanoribbons. We will implement efficient plane-wave algorithms to reduce computational memory and time requirements and implement a robust capability of studying the effects of spin-orbit coupling.
