1.1.1: The objective of this research award is to design and construct a high power microwave source capable of high RF power through the development and testing of a hard tube magnetically insulated line oscillator (MILO). This will be done through predicted RF output peak power with simulation, Marx gernator performance, testing on MILO prototype, RF output stability and comparisons between experiments and fine tune modeling.
