1.1.1: This collaborative research award supports producing and testing the first lumbar spine musculoskeletal model for injury risk assessment in dynamic lifting and developing dynamic strength data for key joints. Additionally, the project will develop a more efficient tool for predicting injury events in dynamic lifting systems to advance the current offline procedure to an online, near real-time optimal motion control and injury prevention system.
