Note:

1.1.1: The objective of this collaborative research project is to develop novel methodologies for: (1) efficient risk stratification of the LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device) implantation; (2) personalized modeling and estimation of patients' heart condition; (3) robust and adaptive control of implanted LVADs. Specifically, this work will bring statistical inference, personalized cardiac modeling, adaptive control theory into a unified framework for efficient modeling and analysis of patients' heart condition, and for effective monitoring and control of LVADs.
