1.1.1: The specific aims of this research award are to 1) establish breadth of cross-protection in genetically diverse mouse strains and evaluate long term vaccine protection; 2) determine mechanism of immune stimulation by the vaccine and 3) determine biodistribution and safety of the vaccine to develop a broadly cross-protective, durable and safe influenza A vaccine in a genetically diverse population.
