1.1.7. --assess the gaps to quantify and reduce risks within the natural, built, socioeconomic and human health systems of Gulf Coast communities; develop recommendations for standardized metrics of living shoreline projects to ensure consistent monitoring of projects; explore how water quality, water quantity, water sustainability, threats to human health and negative effects on aquatic life ultimately impact the Gulf economy; update resilience tools with the best available science and expand the scope of these tools to reach broader audiences and develop a stronger understanding of the connections between the natural environment, ecosystem services, and human well being.
