1.1.1. -- During GLAD 2012, SCOPE 2013, LASER 2016, SPLASH 2017 experiments the research deployed a VMP200 (vertical microstructure profiler), OTS (optical turbulent sensor) and fast CTD to measure energy and temperature dissipation across whole mixed layer up to few cm below the surface. The proposed effort plans to address the TKE vertical variability in last few cm below surface and up to the ocean surface with the main focus on elucidating role of the subsurface energy dissipation on horizontal dispersion.
