Title of Contract, Award, or Gift: Standard logical models and metrics for Gulf restoration: Linking project outcomes to economic, health, and wellbeing benefits for people

Name of Granting or Contracting Agency/Entity: Duke University/National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine

Program Title: N/A

Note:

1.1.7. -- this project addresses the challenges in developing baycoastal watershed (including bay systems) scale logic models; to develop site-specific logic models that connect commonly used restoration actions to the full suite of commonly identified and socio-economic objectives. Building on these site specific logic models, a Gulf-wide working group will be asked to look for generalities and define transferrable logic models and an associated common set of broadly applicable metrics (ecological, social and economic goals) that are applicable in potential project selection as well as ongoing monitoring efforts. The logic models will be populated with evidence (available data, models, publications, and local knowledge) to assess where evidence is strong or weak, allowing the working group to identify metrics that can ad the most value through future monitoring and research.
