The purpose of the Research Support Agreement is to continue the substantial success of applying data mining techniques to the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation Risk Management Agency crop insurance program. Tarleton University Center for Agribusiness Excellence will conduct research of existing data to detect anomalous behavior suggestive of fraud, waste, and abuse using tools developed by CAE; maintain and augment a single warehouse of crop insurance data; develop software that permits the pattern recognition and mining of specific data related to a crop, geographic area, producer, insurance agent, loss adjuster, or reinsured company to enhance the integrity of the Federal crop insurance program; and conduct such data mining and pattern recognition as required by RMA.
