NONE ASSIGNED - The purpose of this research is to extend initial observations on the regulation of podocyte TRPC6 channels by podocin, the effects of various podocin and TRPC6 mutations on channel activation, and to understand more about the distinct pharmacology associated with chemical versus mechanical activation of TRPC6. This research will also build a screening assay platform that will facilitate development of novel channel modulators.
