NONE - Primary Outcomes: Microstructure-based model for control of coating adhesion through processing parameters; Interface Strength Measurement method development. Goals: Characterize Interface for Physical Model Basis; Develop Model; FEA Model Support. Finite Element Analysis methods will be used to represent the microstructure and the interfacial failure events. The mesh construction and manipulation requires close cooperation with the physical model and will dovetail the microstructure evidence with the theoretical predictions to yield a predictive framework for interface strength.
