Application Process

  • Paper applications are not accepted.
  • A separate application must be submitted for each job posting for which you are applying.
  • A resume will not be accepted in lieu of the application.
  • Incomplete applications will be rejected.
  • Applicants may be required to provide official college transcripts, licenses, certifications, or other credentials. Attach a copy of the applicable documents to the application.
  • Foreign credentials may be required to be evaluated by an acceptable foreign credential evaluation service.
  • Applications should clearly describe how you meet the minimum requirements (education, experience, and knowledge, skills and abilities) for the position.
  • Supplemental questions must be answered.
  • A cover letter and/or resume may be attached to the application.
  • A writing sample and/or completion of an assessment may be required during the application or interview process.
  • THECB does not allow dual employment with other state of Texas agencies or institutions.

Job offer and continuation of employment with THECB is contingent upon:

  • Proof of eligibility/authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • The THECB does not sponsor H-1B visas.
  • Proof of educational credentials that satisfies the requirements of the position.
  • Satisfactory results from a criminal history background check, if applicable.

Selective Service Registration
Compliance with the Selective Service Law for males ages 18-25. Under Texas Law, names and other information concerning applicants or nominees may be subject to disclosure upon request.

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board participates in E-Verify. We will provide the Social Security Administration, and if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security, with information from each new employee's Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.
