Earn a Bachelor’s Degree

Finishing your bachelor's degree can open doors to a new career and new a phase of life. In 2010, the average weekly wage for workers without a college degree was $712. Workers with a bachelor’s degree earned an average of $1,038. That's a difference of nearly $17,000 a year!

Earning your degree can do more for you than allowing you to earn more money. People with a bachelor's degree are more likely to be employed and report that they are more satisfied with their jobs than people without a bachelor’s degree.

Bachelor Degree Completion Program

All Grad TX participating institutions offer bachelor degree completion programs that meet your unique needs and take advantage of the coursework and/or work experience you’ve already earned. Bachelor degree completion programs are specifically designed for students who have done some coursework in the past, but whose credits may not be applicable to a traditional bachelor of arts or bachelor of science degree. Degree completion programs give useable credit for a wider range of courses than traditional degrees, meaning that you won’t have to begin your studies over again or lose credit for work you’ve already done.

The Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) degree and the Bachelor of General Studies (BGS) degree offer the same advantages as traditional degrees: You can get a better job, earn more money, or even go to graduate school. The sky is the limit once you finish your bachelor’s degree.

  • Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences: If you have technical or workforce credit from a community college or an associate of applied sciences, this degree may be right for you. The BAAS is a bachelor's degree that allows you to transfer those credits toward a bachelor's degree. You may even be able to get college credit for your work experience.
  • Bachelor of General Studies: If you have a lot of college credit but not quite enough to finish your major, or if you have several interests and want a degree program tailored to your needs and interests, this degree may be right for you. The BGS degree lets you work with an adviser to create a custom degree focused on your interests and needs.
  • Other degrees Grad TX can help you earn are a Bachelor of Science in Nursing for registered nurses, as well as degrees in business, criminal justice, medical information services, and other areas.
