Answers: Employment Information
A1. THECB will accept Work In Texas online applications.
NOTE: To determine qualifications, THECB job postings require responses to supplemental questions. Work In Texas online applications do not include the required supplemental questions. Therefore, if you choose to apply through Work In Texas, you will be sent an email asking you to log in to CAPPS Recruit, and complete the supplemental questions. If the questions are not completed, the application may be considered incomplete. CAPPS Recruit is the preferred online application method.
A2. All public THECB postings appear on Work In Texas. Your Work In Texas Job Search criteria and requirements determine whether you receive an email notification from Work In Texas about THECB's job postings.
A3. There are computers available in the THECB Human Resources Department during regular business hours (Monday-Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.). You may also use the public computers located at any public library, or you may use the resources available at any Texas Workforce Center. To find a Texas Workforce Center near you, call 1-800-832-2829.
A5. You may either attach or cut-and-paste a resume into your application. Please note a resume will not be accepted in lieu of a completed State of Texas application. You may not state "See Resume" on the application.
A7. No. We only accept employment applications for current posted job vacancies. You may subscribe to e-UPDATES to automatically be notified via email when HR posts a new job vacancy. Go to the following section: Higher Education News and Notices - THECB Job Posting Information to subscribe.
A8. Yes. Once you have completed your online application you can apply for multiple positions that are currently open. You do NOT need to recreate a new application every time you apply for a new position.
